Ideally, they should increase their cardio exercises in intervals.
For example, combinations of 6x3 min (high speed). O HIIT / Tabata style utmost for 30-40 and then slowly for 20 seconds and then repeat the cycle until 10-15 minutes.
This is to be preserved muscle and more fat loss than the extension of steady-state heart.
I started with 10 minutes and increased gradually to 30 minutes per day for a month and results achieved.
